Former Atlanta Falcons Linebacker, Buddy Curry, in conjunction with Kids & Pros Inc., Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, Roswell Youth Football and Cheer Association, and the Atlanta Falcons, hosted over 300 kids for the North Atlanta Youth Football and Cheer Clinics, and a Parent Information Session, on Sunday, March 30, from 2:00-5:00 PM at Roswell Area Park in Roswell, GA.
The clinics and parent information session were open to all North Fulton area youth recreation leagues and school coaches and parents. During the football clinics, Curry, a USA Football Master Trainer, along with other former NFL Pros, incorporated safe tackling techniques from USA Football’s Heads Up FootballSM program along with life skill lessons. The safe, non-contact football instruction teaches campers, parents and coaches the right way to play and how to avoid injuries, like concussions. The parents and coaches were also able to learn more about their impact as a coach and as a role model, character building through football and cheerleading, equipment fitting, concussion avoidance, and Heads Up FootballSM (the steps of proper football tackling technique and other skills to avoid injuries). Atlanta Falcons Players, Travian Robertson and Jordan Mabin as well as Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders were on hand to help lead the clinics.
The clinics were brought to the city of Roswell, compliments of the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation and RYFCA, and supported in part by these other generous partners: SCORE Atlanta, and the city of Roswell.
